Cookie Policy | Team UK Performing Arts
Last updated 18 August 2026
In short: we only use cookies that are necessary to make the website work — keeping you signed in, keeping your application secure, and remembering an application in progress. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages — for example, that you are signed in.
What we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
tuk_session | Keeps you signed in to your teacher, judge or administrator account. Set as HttpOnly and Secure, so it cannot be read by scripts in the browser. | 14 days |
tuk_draft | Lets you return to an application you started but have not yet paid for, without needing to sign in. | 30 days |
| Wix platform cookies | Set by Wix, which hosts this website, to keep the site running securely and to balance traffic. | Varies |
| Stripe cookies | Set by Stripe during checkout to process your payment securely and detect fraud. | Varies |
All of the above are strictly necessary — the site cannot provide accounts, applications or payments without them.
Third-party content
Where an audition video is supplied as a YouTube or Vimeo link, the video player is loaded from that provider inside the judging interface. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and Vimeo’s do-not-track option, but those providers may still set cookies of their own. This only affects judges and administrators viewing entries, not visitors to the public website.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Because the cookies we set are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from signing in, submitting an application or making a payment.
For more about how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
