Proudly British.
Globally Respected.

Team UK Performing Arts is the UK’s official representative at International Dance Organisation (IDO) competitions. Our dancers compete in World and European Championships, showcasing British talent on the world stage.

We bring together elite dancers from across the UK to represent the nation on the world stage, through technical excellence, creative performance, and a commitment to international standards.

Since 2008, we’ve helped hundreds of British dancers compete abroad in styles including tap, acro, jazz, modern, and contemporary. Each year, our dancers take part in rigorous training and selection processes, then travel across Europe to perform in world-class competitions.

From Germany and Poland to Slovenia and the Czech Republic, our presence is consistent, our results are strong, and our commitment is unmatched.

The Tap Team Legacy

At the heart of Team UK’s global reputation is the national tap team, managed by Tap Attack under the leadership of Jo Scanlan.

Team UK Tap has competed at the IDO World Tap Dance Championships since 2008, and more recently at the European Tap Dance Championships—bringing home 38 world titles and a host of other podium placements.

With over 20 countries and 2,000 competitors attending each year, the level is high. To maintain Team GB’s success, auditions are competitive and training is intense. Dancers selected for the team train like professional athletes, supported by sports psychologists, medical advisors, professional choreographers and specialist coaches.
